Table Saw - 255mm

I recently purchased the Rutlands Table Saw - 255mm and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed with it. As a beginner/ hobby woodworker I did a lot of YouTube research on table saws. This one essentially does everything a more famous yellow one would do for £600 less.

I've only had it a week or so, but so far really enjoying it!

I have been looking for a replacement for my 20 year old table saw which had seen much better days. Looked endlessly at reviews, all the requirements l needed for my small workshop were met by very expensive kit from well known industry brands all around the £600 mark. However found this saw online purely by chance checked the reviews all of which very positive, and decided to take the plunge as a new customer l took advantage of a discount for signing up to emails. So glad l did its very light, compact and powerful. l particularly like the rack and pinion full length fence with positive lock either end and the flip over mini attachment which doubles as support when the table is extended and perfect for ripping thinner pieces when working closer to the blade... bang on square out of the box and very accurate. Very powerful motor it rips through anything with ease its supplied with a 26 toorh blade which is really good however l have swapped that out for a 60 tooth blade for finer cuts. l have attached it to my old table saw legs and it's absolutely the perfect size for my workshop, needed to contact customer service as the blade needed adjusting slightly ( probably disturbed during transit and wasn't quite sure how to do it) emailed them got an instant response and an updated instruction manual emailed with an apology that the manual supplied didn't have the update. Its a joy to use, l love how easy it is to get accurate cuts are in comparison to my old saw which l binned the fence for that years ago and resorted to a straight metal edge clamped either end !! .
Absolutely superb customer support ( other companies take note). 3 year warranty and half the price of other machines with the same specifications. I hope the video is useful.

This saw cuts well but its outstanding feature is the ability to align and calibrate the blade and fence with the mitre slots, a feature not seen on other saws at this price. The saw looks identical to the Slik TS 6307-00, not on sale in the UK AFAIK. There are several good YouTube videos on how to calibrate this saw which I used to fine tune the Rutlands version. A great little machine.

I have not owned a table saw previously, only circular saws. This has proved to be a revelation in ripping material. Simple to set up and easy to use. Exceptionally well made for the price I am very pleased with my purchase. The after sales support was very good when I had a couple of questions about the saw. As some have said the mitre gauge is not brilliant, but I get the impression that mitre gauges never are, so you can’t really grumble about that.
