Wheel Marking Gauge

This marking gauge has a reassuring weight to it in the hand and feels like a very solid tool, not flimsy. As you would want, the locking wheel cinches down nice and tight and doesn't budge once it's dialled in for use. The markings on the shaft are clearly visible and can certainly be used to eyeball the depth, though I tend to use a Vernier or steel rule to set this. Overall I consider this to be a well-made item from which I hope to get many years of good use. I can also recommend the replacement marking wheel blades, which are a practical option to have alongside.

What a revelation! All these years using old fashioned marking gauges but since I bought this from Rutlands all my marking out is so easy & super accurate!My advice is if you're using scribe pin marking out gauges, either throw them away or display them as antiques!Once again Rutlands has the right tool at the right price & still can deliver next day!

I have other premium marking gauges and this is easily as good. Best marking gauge for the price by far.

Good quality and good value in the 2 for 1 deal. Very fine marker line produced both with the grain and across grain, no tearing as can happen with a normal marking gauge.
