This water-cooled wetstone system will reshape, sharpen and create a razor sharp mirror finish to a multitude of tools including chisels, plane blades, knives, scissors, carving tools and woodturning tools. The 180 watt high-torque motor is designed to prevent the sharpening wheel from slowing down or stalling when working on large tools. The 220 grit monocrystalline grinding wheel runs in a bath of water and allows you to reshape, remove nicks and sharpen your tools to an extremely precise edge without causing damage or brittleness to the steel. The extra large water trough stops water dripping from long bladed tools, preventing spillage on to your workbench. Once an edge has been achieved on the grinding wheel, you then use the leather wheel to hone and create a razor sharp, mirror finish to the workpiece.
My woodturning club recently invested in this wetstone machine. So far it has mainly been used to sharpen roughing and spindle gouges. The stone appears quite hard and unlike our old Tormek machine is not leaving grooves on the stone surface. It could be that the stone on our old Tormek may have gone soft over the years of being submerged. The consensus is very positive and a few members have said they will be buying one. Instruction though leave a lot to be desired.

Like the other I would also strongly recommend this machine. It's rock solid in use and does all you expect it to. Instruction are far from legible, however it is quite a simple set up process.

A little gem of a machine.

This is a very solid sharpening machine that does exactly as I need it to. It sits still under pressure, slowly grinding a new edge, before using the leather wheel to hone to a razor sharp finish. Well made and well priced.

Good all round sharpening machine that I use on a regular basis in my workshop. Happily recommend it to any fellow woodworker. Excellent range of jigs available is an advantage as well.

I looked at a number of wetstone sharpeners on the market including the Scheppach, Record and . I choose this one because it runs very smoothly without hardly and noise and the jigs to not judder or wander under load. It also has a powerful motor which I need because I will be sharpening plane irons which are up to 50mm wide and can be extremely hard.
I spent over 4 hours the first day I received this wetstone machine and sharpened every knife, pair of scissors and wood chisel I could lay my hands on. Excellent piece of kit and well worth the investment.

As a woodcarver I need to maintain the cutting profiles and edges on my chisels at all times, particularly when working on hardwoods. This wetstone sharpener has proved to be a good choice. The sharpening stone is of a high quality and does not wear as quickly as others I have used. The rotational speed in acceptable and does not cause the water to spill over the trough. The motor is very quiet and vibration is minimal. The cast aluminium plate holds the jig arm rigidly in place minimising movement when working on long neck tools. So far I am impressed.
