This compact precision plunge cut saw will leave fine, clean cuts on hard and softwoods, MDF, plywood and chip board sheets, stone and metal. It is commonly used for trimming kitchen and cabinet doors, skirting board and window sills.
Both the body and the base of the saw are manufactured from die cast aluminium and the plunge mechanism is smooth and controlled. The saw is fitted with a 110mm diameter TCT blade allowing for a 30mm depth of cut. Supplied with a 1 metre track split in three sections which are rigidly joined by connecting bars, this saw and track is easy to transport and will comfortably fit in a standard tool box. Each section of track has three rubber strips to protect the workpiece and comes with a series of clamps to lock to the workpiece.
I bought this saw for final fix work. We fit kitchens and fitted wardrobes and you can guarantee that on every fit we have to trim the panels because our measurer has oversized the job. Used to use a Skill saw and a guide rail wcich can be fiddly on small lengths. this one is much easier to work with as the saw is locked into the track and there is less chance of loosing your cutting line. Blade is thin so the cut is fine. Its quite noisy but then your only using it for small runs. Would buy again as you can be more accurate.

I like the fact that you can operate this saw with one hand. You feel in total control and can accurately follow the line.

For cutting sheet material this is an excellent small saw. Motor is more than powerful and its weight is nicely balanced. Not sure how it would perform on stone though.

Very satisfied with the sawing performance. Fine, clean and straight cut. I would recommend using heavier duty F clamps as the ones supplied are not rigid enough.

I have used this saw on a couple of occasions to cut MDF. Results were good: clean finish and ample power. Because its so compact you feel in total control. Need to buy a connector to link up to my vacuum as it kicks out dust at a fast rate.
