Set of 25 Brad Point Drill Bits - Metric

Dakota    Part No. DK1318

• Supplied in a hinged all-steel carry case
• Fractionally back tapered shanks prevent binding and scorching of timbers
• 25 x bits ranging from 1mm to 13mm in 0.5mm increments
• Hardened and tempered to minimise brittleness and breakage

Isn't it so annoying when a job requires a certain size of drill bit and it is the only size you do not have. This comprehensive set contains 25 drill bits ranging in size from 1mm to 13mm in 0.5mm increments. Made from high speed steel, these brad point bits have central spurs to keep the drill aligned in the wood and sharp cutting tips to slice through the wood rather than tear it for a clean accurate finish.

Fluted sides reduce friction during cutting to prevent scorching and excessive heat build up in the bit. Presented in a hinged steel carry case, these bits are organised and clearly marked for easy identification. We cannot guarantee you will always have the right bit for the job, but this set is an excellent start.

Good range of drill bit sizes and I've found a use for most of them so far. Makes neat clean holes in oak and cherry and I'd definitely buy another set.

this is a really useful set of drill bits and excellent quality for the price. ive used them on pine, maple, beech and ash and they cut just as well on the harder woods as they do on the pine. the case is a good idea as every bit has a home. really pleased with this set.

I bought these on offer and wasn't expecting much for the price but I was very impressed with the quality and performance. The bits are very sharp and cut rather than tear through the wood. A real bargain.

Pleased but slightly disappointed. It is unfortunate that the drills from 10.5-13mm have had the shank diameters reduced. This appears to have been an afterthought and the reduction has been done without consideration to concentricity resulting in Run out at the drill point. The drills without the reduction run perfectly true.

Rapid delivery of a product whose quality is superior to the price charged. Excellent range of sizes and the drills cut a clean hole.

It is very difficult trying to get hold of brad point drills in 0.5mm increments. So, to find a full set of these drills from 1mm to 13mm at such a cheap price is astounding. These are good quality drills, well made and they come in a nice, sturdy plastic case. These drills are accurate and very sharp an ideal for any workshop or tradesman. Cheap postage and rapid delivery. And, I must add, Rutlands after sales service is second to none. Graham.

Finding a set of Brad point drills with this range proved to be difficult but Rutlands hit a bullseye. A great set of drills, they have proved to be accurate and very useful - highly recommended. Rutlands service was excellent and will use again.

Very disappointed with this set. The case keeps jamming when opening and closing. The bits are very poor quality, off centre, burrs etc.

Not the usual quality I expect from rutlands. Very rough finish and slightly undersized. I recommend rutlands on a daily basis and if the people get this sort of quality I will look like a rite clown.

I make small scale models using hard woods and I needed a set of accurate bits for drilling the wheel openings. At the price I was a bit dubious however I have been delighted with their performance. Admittedly I have only used three different bits, all of which were the smaller sizes. They drilled true and were good at removing the swarf. On current use I would highly recommend this set.

Disappointed. Bought these when they were described as High Speed Steel. They are only (as now described) cheap Carbon Steel. Pity
