Drilling a hole into your workpiece and then realising it is not straight is both a common and annoying occurrence. Using a hand held power drill without guiding or stabilising the drill bit increases the risk of the resultant hole being drilled incorrectly. Manufactured in the USA with 17 metric drill guide holes ranging from 3mm to 9.5mm, this drill guide offers the stability and guidance that your drill requires to ensure each hole is drilled perfectly straight. The guide is fully constructed from a steel alloy and then heat treated to further improve its durability, thus giving it an increased longevity and wear resistance.
This is a great drilling aid. I had to drill and tap some M4 holes into a steel bar and found that not only did this guide have the holes for 3 to 9.5 mm in 0.5 mm increments it also has the metric tapping holes as well for M4 to M10 taps. After drilling the 3.3 mm tapping hole I left put the 3.3 mm drill into the hole in the bar and use this to line up the 4.5 mm guide over the hole. This then meant that the guide would align the M4 tap into the tapping hole. This is very important, especially as I was tapping into Stainless Steel and any miss-alignment could cause the tap to seize. I'm sure this is going to be a great addition to my tool box.
