This oscillating sander can be used hand held or can be inverted and bench mounted. Powered by a 650 watt high torque motor with variable speed control between 1800 and 3200rpm you can achieve super fine sanding results on curved, profiled and straight workpieces. The bobbins oscillate at a rate of 50 to 90 oscillations per minute and have a maximum sanding depth of 70mm.
The body of the sander is contoured for a positive and comfortable two handed grip and rubber non slip pads absorb vibration. It is a remarkably comfortable sander to use in the hand held mode.
To bench mount the sander you simply invert the machine and insert the 2 x 'F' clamps into the body of the sander and lock the clamps on top of the bench. A rubber pad is supplied as not to indent your bench top. In bench mounted mode you have optimum control of the workpiece.
I have a small workshop dedicated to stringed instrument making. I don't have the space for a dedicated oscillating snder, so this portable version is ideal for my needs.

I had over 10 sash window frames to make good and needed a simple solution to remove flaking paint from the surround. I set the stop on the base to remove a maximum of 1mm in a pass. It proved very successful. Much more comfortable and easier to control than with a random orbital. Abrasive clog quite quickly so you need to brush down regularly. I have already thought of a number of other jobs that it will simplify.

I have a large dining room table that needed restoring and the edges were marked and lightly damaged so I needed to sand down and remove a couple of millimetres all round. To be able to use this free hand proved indispensable.My only other solution was to route off the existing edge but that was too risky. Did the job perfectly. Had to go round three times and then a final time with a smooth grit. Great result and I don't know how else I would have done it.
