Capable of holding a 500lb or 227kg machine, this heavy duty mobile base will make the largest of machines fully mobile. The heavy gauge steel sections bolt together to suit the footprint of your machine from 11" x 11" up to 35" x 35" square or 17" x 11" up to 51" x 19" in a rectangle and are powder coated for extra durability. Four heavy duty castors allow even the heaviest machine to move effortlessly across the workshop and two freely pivoting wheels make steering and positioning very easy. Once in position, the machine can be secured using the two large rubber footed lifting levellers which also allow the machine to be levelled. This incredibly sturdy mobile base is ideal for table saws, spindle moulders, planer thicknessers and any other large machine. ©
10 Year Guarantee - The 10 year guarantee on the Dakota mobile base means that it will be free of any manufacturing defects. If a customer finds any manufacturing related defect, either the product or faulty component will be replaced free of charge.

Unlike other wheel sets and mobile bases, this doesn't have too much impact on the working height of the machine. I like the one size fits all design - it's something akin to a giant meccano set - and have these bases on a number of machines from my jointer/thicknesser to my bench saw.

I bought two of these and fitted the raising castors at both ends of the frame, so had some "Meccano" left over for other uses. This carries my Kity BestCombi with ease, and enables it to be moved forward, backwards, and sideways, even diagonally or round in circles! Perfect mobility with little effort for the more elderly like me. It enables the machine to be stored at the side of the workshop but be readily available when needed.

I have them on my Sheppach planer, Sheppach saw bench and Jessem router table and it works very well.

An excellent piece of equipment and well worth the money. I agree that the instructions are very sparce but there are so many variations in which you can make this equipment fit your requirements that I would hate to be the one to write the instructions. Having said that, if you look at the pictures on the outside of the box it should present no problems at all. The service from Rutlands was fantastic and recommend them without hesitation.

Overall a good product, base moves machines around nicely. However, shame about the lack of assembly instructions.
Name: James Beach. Rating: 4/5
A good mobile base however the assembly instructions are very poor consisting of a small drawing and parts list. I assembled mine twice before I was happy. If you purchase this base ensure you assemble the long and short plates in the correct position.
I fitted a base inside the frame which gives extra storage.
Also be aware that due to the design of the base the footprint of your m/c will be increased.
