In our opinion, this is the easiest to operate jig on the market for the accurate and repetitive routing of hinge recesses. Very quick to use and set up, the jig simply clamps to the workpiece, the steel top plate is adjusted to suit your hinge width and depth and then rout out with the supplied bearing guided router cutter. The steel construction of the top plate makes it highly wear resistant meaning it will not become uneven over time and the thick smooth finish protects the steel from coorosion while also assisting with the movement of the bearing around the template. As this jig has no onboard clamping to restrict its capacity, it can be used on door jambs and frames as well as doors and all that is needed is are suitably sized G or F clamps to hold it in place. Ideal for use on site and in situ or in the workshop. Highly recommended. ©

had 27 fire doors to hang,once the hinge jig was set up,it took seconds to put three hinge mortises on fire door and then on the frames very pleased saves so much time.
