Newly updated, the Sign Crafter now allows the user to rout signs up to 914mm in length with no limit on height as the included low profile C clamps give unrestricted clamping. The frame has been redesigned making it easier to assemble and to sit flat on the work for greater router support. The templates produce letters and numbers 63mm in height and are self spacing so there is no need for difficult layout calculations. The set includes two each of all letters and numbers with a further two extra of A, E and I to prevent you having to re-arrange your letters mid rout. This system comes with its own universal sub-base that will fit any router. The 15.9mm guide bush has a metal nose for extra durability. This set comprises 80 letter and number templates, two C clamps, base plate, guide bush and 9.5mm dia, 8mm shank TCT cutter. ©

This jig was bought to make a one off set of signs for a friend's business. They were so well received that I seem to spend most of my time making signs for other people. I agree with the other reviewer that it takes practice to use sucessfully but I have never had a problem with the clamping system. A second router cutter would be nice but the set of five replacement cutters have different profiles of cutter which makes the signs all the more interesting.

Decent product. You will need a bit of practice before you get it right so keep a few bits of scrap wood handy. Bit cheap supplying just 1 bit with the set. you will need to buy a smaller bit to use the lower case letters template. The clamps that come with this set to keep the jig fixed are close to useless and a bit of a mickey take. G clamps have solved that problem though. All in all a decent jig. I would recommend buying the more expensive sign crafter as the clamps look better designed.
