Manufactured in Canada by Jessem, this new Rout R Lift has a smaller top plate, is sturdier and has more features that its predecessor. The most noticable feature of this new lift is the fact that it is direct drive working from a screwed spindle. This makes it much more practical as you do not have the problems associated with belt or chain drive where belts and chains can snap or work loose over time. A double bearing on the spindle makes the rise and fall movement of the router ultra smooth and so very effortless that the mechanism can be worked by a single finger. In use, the rise and fall mechanism is operated above the table using a removable cranked lever. This lever also operates the on board spindle lock, a new feature with this lift, which locks the router at the required height preventing it from wandering under load. The top plate measures 235mm x 298mm and is 9.5mm thick. Made from cast, ground and hardened anodised aluminium, this plate features a generously sized router bit aperture that will accept a 92mm diameter raised panel door bit. This diameter can be reduced down to 51mm using the included insert ring. The onboard levelling system allows you to set the lift perfectly flush to your router table top. Mounting any router in this lift is very simple. Underneath the lift the fixing ring is pre-drilled for all popular brands and models of router. Simply line up the holes that match those on your router base plate and screw your router to it. Fix your router at maximum plunge and then let the lift do all of the work. This Rout R Lift will fit into any Jessem table top with a similar sized aperture and will also fit into any of the Woodpecker table tops we sell. ©
