The solid phenolic Rout R Plate provides a simple yet very effective method of mounting a router into a table top. Phenolic is a material heavily used in engineering and aerospace applications. Once formed, it will not shrink or swell nor will it warp or sag regardless of the environment it is exposed to. This plate is 9.5mm thick and measures 235mm x 298mm and will fit into the Jessem Pro table top and the Mast R Top as well as any of the Woodpecker brand tops. The centre hole of the plate is machined to accept a 90mm raised panel door bit and the plate comes supplied with two insert rings to reduce this diameter; one insert ring reduces the hole to 51mm and the other down to 35mm. The insert rings are easy to fit and remove using the included wrench and lock in to position with a simple twist. Levelling screws are supplied with the plate to allow you to seat it flush to the table top for smooth timber passage across the table. Supplied with full fitting and installation instructions. This is a beautifully made table with top quality materials. Even so, it seems expensive: there is only a crude fence. No other accessories, not even a feather board which I had to buy separately. The standard fence's guard is inadequate and I will be making my own replacement.

Impressive. Very, very solid table. The table insert takes some fellting to get it right, but once set up is rock solid. I found that one side of the fence sat 1/32" proud of the other. Fortunately the kit came with a 1/32" shim which sorted it out. The dust collector is particularly effective. Recommended.
