Product Details
The Grex 18 gauge finish nailer stands out amongst the array of nailers on the market. The first time you handle the nailer, pull the trigger and here the whoosh of the firing pin you know that this is no run of the mill tool.
Extremely comfortable in the hand, the body is manufactured from cast aluminium and is very well balanced to allow for precise, controlled nailing. Precisely machined pistons and valves drive a hardened and tempered steel driver pin which consistently drives the nail head to the same depth time after time. The driver pin is slimmer in cross section than most nailers and leaves a hole similar in size to that of the nail head.
You can select either sequential firing mode where the tool fires each time you depress the trigger or you can select continuous mode where you hold in the trigger and press the nose of the tool against the workpiece to fire. The magazine has two large windows so that you can see when you need to reload and internally has stepped markers for positioning the nails ranging from 19mm to 50mm in length. Stringent manufacturing tolerances ensure smooth, jam free operation. The nailer operates between 70 and 120psi on standard woods yet can be increased to 145psi when nailing into dense, normally exotic woods.
Supplied in a blow moulded carry case with safety goggles, dry lubricant and a swivelling hose coupling to minimise hose tangling. Only when you fire this nailer can you fully appreciate the ease at which the nailer performs. Exceptional build quality. ©

I previously used an electric brad nailer . The difference between the Grex air nailer and a electric tool is significant. The Grex is more compact, lighter in weight and allows you to position the nail. I can fire up to 5 nails with the Grex at the same time as firing one nail with the electric. The Grex consistently fires the nail head below the surface of the wood where as the electric is intermittent - subject to exerting heavy pressure on the top of the nailer. I would never go back to electric having used the Gex air nailer.
