Product Details

This mini table saw is designed for precise, straight cutting of wood, plastic and non ferrous metal. The 80mm diameter, 24 tooth blade is powered by a 200 watt variable speed motor with a speed range from 4400 to 6800rpm. A digital read out, accurate to 0.001mm features a fine adjustment knob to dial in and set the exact cutting width.

The read out can be displayed in either metric or imperial and incorporates a zero function that can be set for any location on the table. The saw fence is mounted on a machined die cast aluminium arm and fine adjustments can be made to ensure the fence is parallel to the blade. Blade rise and fall and tilt action is controlled by one dial and on the surface of the table are two fine adjustment screws that allow you to fine tune and calibrate the tilt angle if ever required.

The table is precision CNC machined from die cast aluminium and features two T slots either side of the blade for use with the precision mitre gauge. The slots are perfectly machined for minimum clearance with the edges of the mitre gauge bar. Using the blade tilt and 90 mitre gauges you can saw straight, bevels, mitres and compound mitres.

The telescopic extension table offers additional support for large work pieces and a rear 32mm dust port when connected to an extractor will draw dust from the point of cut. This precision mini table saw is specifically designed for model makers, model engineers, fine woodworkers and jewellery makers.

A decent enough machine for the price. The blade supplied is quite chunky with a 2mm kerf - more than I want for fine work, so I bought a Proxxon one.

The T-tracks are a very non-standard size, 15mm x 4.5 mm, and the miter bar (14.5mm) is a very sloppy fit, which for my purposes makes it unusable. If you are planning to use the tracks e.g. with a sled, be prepared for a lot of DIY, because there are no commercially available components out there.

Very pleased with the overall build quality and sawing performance of this saw. Motor purrs sweetly and when you select the correct speed for the wood you are sawing the finish is first class. Connected mine to a henry vacuum and you can see the dust being draw away from the blade. Removed one star as I nearly caused serious damage to the motor as I did not realise I needed to remove a large piece of polystyrene foam that is fitted in the main body of the saw for transportation purposes to protect the motor. Apart from that can not fault it. Great purchase.

My new saw arrived last Friday and I have now had three days of use. Here is my summary:

1) Table top is flat and well machined
2) Digital read out is clear and precise
3) Micro adjustment wheel is not needed, you are better off moving the fence by hand.
4) Variable speed control dial works well and the motor is relatively quiet
5) Blade rise and fall dial is awkward to use at first but you soon learn the technique
6) Mitre gauge fir in the slot is average. You need to keep the bar of the gauge pushed up against the edge of the slot
7) Telescopic extension does its job of giving extra support
8) Sawing performance is very good on hard and softwoods

Overall I am pleased with the saw and would recommend for small scale sawing when model making.

Really handy little machine for precise cutting, couldnt commit to a large table saw as I dont really have the workspace. The digital adjustment gauge is a good feature to be sure you're cutting accurately. Ive only used it for wood so far but Im sure it could tackle metal or plastic pretty easily.

Jerry Henson

The smallest and most portable saw I've seen around and lightweight enough to be able to move around and work wherever I need to. Not too noisy and comes with a fair few handy features, particularly the mitre gauge and extension table. Happy for the price I paid
