Product Details

A T Rule is the most accurate way to draw straight, parallel lines at a precise distance from the edge of your workpiece. Simply lock the large T head of the rule against your workpiece edge, insert your pencil in any of the guide holes and smoothly glide the T rule against the edge to produce a perfectly straight and parallel line. The thick T head will remain in constant contact with the edge to ensure that your drawn line is as required. The rule can be used to mark in 1mm increments from the edge of your workpiece. There are a series of 5 holes running across the rule every 5mm, with the first hole being the increment shown on the measuring scale. For example, if the first hole is next to the 10mm etching, the hole next to this is 11m and the next hole is 12mm and so on. Therefore, this rule measures from 5mm thorough to 260mm in 1mm increments. We would recommend using a 0.5mm fine pencil to achieve the best results when using this rule.

Both components of the rule have been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium, these two parts have then been fixed together with two precision socket screws. The T head has been machined perfectly flat to ensure that is sits perfectly square when locked onto the edge of your workpiece. The blade sits at precisely 90 degrees to the head meaning that you will always guarantee drawing parallel lines. The rule has a black anodised finish which will protect it against scratches and make it durable. A crisp and clear metric scale has been laser etched onto the rule with the 1mm spaced holes intuitively easy to identify.

The rule has graduations from 0mm up to 260mm with an overall length of 300mm. The T head is 15mm high to securely lock onto the workpiece. We found this rule to be incredibly useful around the workshop and can be used in a multitude of setup and marking out applications particularly when used with sheet material and larger projects. The scale is highly precise and has been assured to +/-0.001mm over 1m. The rule comes with a lifetime warranty - if the rule fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge.

I ordered this around a week after receiving the smaller 160mm version, the extra length that this offers is brilliant. Both are very well made and very accurate.
