Product Details
This quick release vice is cast, machined and assembled by the world's leading and largest vice manufacturer, who have been established since 1950. The body of the vice is precision CNC machined from solid grey iron castings, a material recognised for its wear resistance and high compressive strength.
The vice has a class leading clamping force of 19000N for assured workholding. The 230mm wide front jaw is fractionally tapered toward the rear jaw, so that when under clamping pressure the jaws become parallel for positive non slip clamping. The lead screw is made from hardened and tempered steel and features a buttress thread that ensures fast, smooth and controlled movement. Buttress threads are stronger in shear than any other power thread, combining the high efficiency of a square thread with the high strength of a V thread.
The advantage of this quick release vice is that by depressing the front trigger, the lead screw disengages from the cast nut allowing you to slide the jaw back and forth with one hand. Once you workpiece is position, release the trigger and clamp up using the tommy bar.
Both front and rear jaws are pre-drilled to accept wood sub fences to protect the surface of the workpiece and the front jaw features a height adjustable dog for clamping against a bench dog on your workbench. The castings of the vice are finished in an epoxy powder paint that is extremely hard wearing, chip and corrosion resistant.
These quick release vices have a lifetime warranty and in the event that the vice fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. This is a premium quality, premium performance quick release vice that can be found in professional woodworkers workshops worldwide. ©

Always exciting to get a new toy in the post! When it arrived I had it all set up and was planing some chair legs within the hour. Looks and feels top quality, as I've come to expect

Quick release is a must if you're working on a project with lots of different parts. I mounted some mahogany face plates to mine and it's held everything super tight with zero amounts of play so far. I don't imagine it'll break but if it does its good to know its covered by warranty.
