Product Details

These jigs are CNC machined by the leading manufacturer of kitchen worktop jigs. They are laminated on both sides with a 1mm thick external grade High Pressure Laminate which is sandwiched around solid moisture resistant composite core. The moisture resistant core prevents absorption of atmospheric moisture which would otherwise cause distortion, while the high pressure laminate surface prevents premature wear. The high pressure laminate provides a hard wearing anti-friction surface allowing your router to glide smoothly through the cut without snagging. The 10mm diameter location pegs twist firmly down to make perfect alignment. No wobble, no misalignment, no errors. The simple, three point pin positioning system makes these jigs the easiest to set up and use for perfect joints every time. These new jigs offer the ultimate longevity at a budget price. If used and looked after correctly each jig will last in excess of 300 cuts. Each jig is machined to within a tolerance of +/- 0.03mm to give the ultimate results, even when cutting up to 15° out of square. With this jig you can perform the following cuts:

A: 45° Diagonal Corners
B: Straight Butt Joints
C: Straight 67.5° Joints
D: Edge Trimming
E: 90° Masons Mitre
F: "Tee" Connection
G: Straight 45° Joints
H: Masons Mitre -90°
I: Masons Mitre +90°
J: 45° Corner Cut-Off
K: Corner Rounding

This advanced jig's unique design allows both 90° and 45° corners to be produced from the one end. It is suitable for use with all types of worktop with or without an anti drip profile. These jigs are quite exceptional value and come complete with pegs and corner protectors.

As stated by other reviewers, you need to take the flange off at least one of the pegs so that you can turn the jig over to cut a male mason mitre. Also no instructions but loads of info on YouTube. If you're cutting an IKEA worktop, they are not standard size, (635mm) and the pre-set holes don't allow for this when setting up a female cut. I got round this by using the 650 hole with a 15mm shim (635+15=650). A good buy if you don't intend doing a lot of counter tops but if I was fitting kitchens for a living, I'd probably pay the extra for a Trend jig.

This jig worked well in the end but was a struggle. No instructions leaves you srarching the internet fpr clues. There is no countersink for the pegs on one of thes sides. You have to flip the jig if you want to do left and right masons joins so i trimmed the flanges off the plastic pegs in order to knock them in flush on both sides. As far as i could see this is necessary to ensure your router bit cuts into the joint with its leading blade and doesnt rip the laminate off with the trailing cut. Anyway works fine once thats all sorted! And it is cheap!.

As a DIYer I bought this jig with a view to to fit a couple of worktops involving one Masons Mitre. I've seen other (more experience) people use them and it looks fairly straight forward.
Two things have thwarted my attempt so far. Firstly no instructions for us amateurs and secondly how can the jig be used on both sides when there is only recesses for the heads of the pegs on one side. Surely the router will hit the proud pegs.
Anyway enough moaning. This really does look and feel like a quality bit of kit. Can't wait to use it when I figure it out.

Cracking price for a full size worktop jig and delighted with the quality.

Excellent value. Moved up from a 400mm jig to this one.

James Nichols

The surface of the jig is remarkable good. I previously had a Trend jig which cost three times the price but whenever I used it the base of my router would mark the surface. This would after time cause the router to run of course unless you held it down very firmly. This jig appears to have a coating on it that ensures for a smooth movement and prevents it from scratching. So far so good.
