Drill Guide Block - 3mm to 9.5mm

Very versatile guide and strongly made. Many applications where I ned to drill a straight / vertical hole and can't take the work to the pillar drill. The ability to fit it on round stock is also a bonus, as is the M4 / M5 / M8 holes for taps, which I can and do also use in wood (M6 is 5mm, which is there anyway). Not sure why the guide stops at 9.5mm and not 10mm, but not complaining. A great little tool.

I have one of the bigger Rutlands drill guides, which I'm very happy with, but this is great for those quick jobs. I spent 5 minutes checking all the hole sizes with a good quality bit set, and they're all bang on. I don't have any thread tapping bits but its good to know the guides are there if/when I need them. Heavy, solid and I expect it will last me for years to come.

I've had a few different drill guides over the years - plastic, aluminium, but this is certainly the most robust and its quality was evident as soon as I picked it up. Those inferior guides became unreliable once the bushes wore down but I'm expecting this to last far longer given how well made it feels. A snip at this price.

A great little tool that makes 90 degree alignment possible with out a press or jig. Can even be used to check the size of drill bits. Looks like it is made from a material that will not wear over time. Impressed.

A drill guide is so important when drilling straight holes, no matter how well you think you can drill free hand it will never match using a guide. Great for small jobs instead ofgetting my drill press set up.
