This powerful, 2400W variable speed motor premium performance motor is designed and engineered specifically for use with router lifts and uses the latest electronic technology. It features a torque control system that prevents the motor from slowing under load, ensuring that the rotational speed remains constant, no matter what diameter of router bit you are using or how hard the wood, resulting in a superior workpiece finish. A variable speed control dial, conveniently positioned on the bottom of the motor for easy-reach, allows you to select speeds from 10,000 to 22,000 rpm.

With soft start technology, the router motor gradually increases the speed from zero to the desired level for a safer, more enjoyable routing experience. An air cool system ensures a constant flow of fresh air to prevent the risk of the motor overheating, when installed in the Rutlands® dust box or in a close-sided router table. The dust protection system prevents dust from causing damage to the motor to ensure a long trouble-free life and the precision machined spindle bearings are guaranteed for ultra smooth, vibration free rotation.

The two ER collets 1/4" and 1/2" are precision machined to ensure perfect balance and concentricity and the large off-set wrenches allow for fast bit change over. Optional 6mm, 8mm and 12mm metric collets are readily available. This motor is engineered to fit all Rutlands® router lifts and any other lift that holds a 106mm diameter body. ©

Best choice

If you have a router lift that takes the US standard 4.2 inch motors there is little choice in the UK. This same motor is sold by another UK supplier albeit painted a different colour but they make you buy it with a NVR switch which jacks the price up and I did not need one. There is a version available from a well know Chinese supplier which although is a bit cheaper support would be an issue. So I suspect that this is all the same motor but what swung it for me is the three year warranty and the best price for the options I wanted. Apart from that it runs very smoothly and quiet, just hope it lasts a bit longer than the 2 XAct versions that have failed on
me.

Extremely well made product

I ordered this unit to replace my dewalt router. It arrived very quickly and was packaged well.
The unit is extremely well made, very sturdy and put together well. Whilst I have not intsalled it into my table yet, I have started it up, and found it ridculously quiet and well balanced. The varfiable speed controll is smooth and easy to access.
Im now looking forward to fitting it and shaping some awesome mouldings.

These now come with ER collets

So these now come with ER collets, which appear to be a great improvement on the types of collet that have been fitted in the past. Not only that, but I am pleased to see further collet options available for metric shanks, of which I have plenty. Variable speed is essential for matching the rpm to the bit and material. Overall, an excellent product.
